Good Food and Good Service Too.
Never have had a bad meal here. Gave it a shot out the blue and has ended up being one of my go to restaurants. Loving food the way I do, I can say that this place provides fantastic authentic Indian cuisine. I love all the spice, especially the lamb specials. There is something for everyone.
Couldn't be happier with this place. The service is friendly and attentive without being pushy, the food is great and prepared fast, the ambiance is attractive, and the music is quiet. Love it.
Excellent mixed vegetable fritters appetizer. Entrees all very good. I had jumbo shrimp in a yoghurt sauce with coriander. No room for dessert. Attentive service. Pleasant atmosphere. Not too noisy. A bit difficult to get to when driving east on the Post Road, but Google Maps guided us there.
It's was ok but I don't like the carrot halwa
Did part time here..and the owner has not paid me $120. Firget about food when cleanliness sucks in this place.
The food is delicious and the service is great! Highly recommend!
First time to visit .Excellent service. Incredible food! Matthew was a gem of a host .
Great customer service great food, dont let the outside full you, the inside is great, recommended
Excellent Indian food. We stopped there for the lunch buffet on a Saturday and there was quite a nice spread. They had a lot to offer and many of the dishes weren't the typical ones you find at the Indian places. It was nice to try something new, as everything was delicious.
Great food. A little pricey for my liking, and this place is quite busy. But overall, great, quality, indian food and very hospitable waiters.
Easy_off_easy_on from exit 19 of I_95 (Connecticut turnpike), close to the intersection with post road (U.S. route 1).Excellent service and even better food.THE village itself that its located in (Southport) is a postcard _ type of a village. The inside space is not too big or small just about the right size to get that warm welcoming feeling.I had my meal at the bar while watching a game on the big screen they had there. This was my first visit but it definitely won't be the last.
Great people operate this restaurant. Food was excellent. Great menu. Has a tasty lunch buffet and caters.
A phenomenal buffet including calamari, fish curry, lamb and assorted dishes. The service is welcoming and kid friendly. Looking forward to returning for dinner and trying the lobster.
Right off the highway. Classy service, great food.
While the food is OK - their attitude and customer service sucks big time. Showed up at 5:09 PM to an empty restaurant (they had just opened) with wife and two kids in tow and they refused to seat us by the windows apparently because all those tables were reserved at 6 PM. Mind you there were no signs on those tables to show they were reserved. Bottomline - this place is not kid friendly and will lie to you. We walked out and went elsewhere. They don't deserve my business and likely they don't need yours too.
Very good food and excellent service. Tables for two are a bit tight. Clean bathrooms. Nice decor but I found it a bit odd where the chose to store their extra tables, chairs and vacuums. See pix.
Fantastic food and good service!!
Pleasantly surprised. Very good Authentic Indian restaurant. Will be stopping by often. Convenient parking for large vehicles too. Just off 95 south exit 19.
Great vegan options
One of our favorite Indian restaurants. It never disappoints and you should always make sure to bring your appetite if you go for the all-you-can-eat buffet. We ate lunch there and was full for the rest of the day.
Beware of greedy waiters. They will create confusion, recommend you based on high price. They will bug you again and again. So, unless you know what you want to eat, stay away from advice. If you decide to visit them, better know what you want. In appetizer, avoid Paneer at any cost. It will taste like chewing rubber.
I'm not even going to bother trying to review this place because,I believe, you should just go there. That's it. Go. Okay, the food is that good, the staff were quick, friendly and attentive, great atmosphere for a small place, and plenty of parking. But for me, what sealed the deal was, I saw two indian families walk in to sit and eat. If Indian people go to an Indian restaurant outside of India, you know the food is guaranteed to be good. Same with Spanish restaurants, etc. I felt the buffet was fairly priced for everything you can get, my wife and I spent $43.xx for the two of us and we got the mango juice to accompany the food.
The lamb chops here are amazing, although it's on really pricey. The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and professional. This restaurant turned me onto Indian food--the best cuisine in the world.
Very good Indian food and very pleasant and courteous service. Suggestion to management to raise temperature by two or three degrees Fahrenheit during Winter months. This review from a repeat customer.
Go for the buffet! You wont regret it.
Food not fresh. Blunt taste. Not authentic
Great service, tasteful and tasty food!
I think I passed this place maybe 200 times before I went in one day for the lunch buffet. I come pretty regularly now. It's a buffet, but the lunch service is still very attentive.I have to work hard not to over stuff myself. What I love about Coromandel is that the rotating lunch items are interesting...not the usual suspects.
Wow what a delicious lunch buffet. Tons of spice and different dishes. Everything was really good. I would go back again on a heart beat.
Great food, friendly owner, awesome Sunday buffet.
We, group of 10 people, came here for Saturday lunch buffet and absolutely loved it. The food was good and they had a good variety of dishes as compared to many other Indian restaurants. I also want to mention that the staff was very friendly.Definitely coming back here !
The weekend lunch buffet is AMAZING!!! Not to be missed. Great staff and service
The Indian food here is excellent. Very fresh and authentic with a lot of variety. The owners obviously care very much about their patrons' experience. I was surprised by the well-stocked bar. The atmosphere is also nice so I'm concerned it's never very busy. We were there on a Friday night and only a handful of people came through. I hope more people give it a go. Once they do, they'll come back!
Wonderful service, delicious food, lovely setting.
Excellent clean indian restaurant, delicious dishes, generous portions. Service outstanding. Reasonable prices
Wonderful service, delicious food, lovely setting.
We ordered from Uber eats. Had chicken vindaloo, calamari, garlic naan, veggie apps and raita. Just the right combination. Calamari was amazing w yummy onions too. Chicken was pretty spicy but moderated with raita and delish rice. Will certainly order again. We want to try in person.
Apps are great, mains can sometimes be bland. A little pricey. Nice location. Friendly staff. Even the Indian wine is good.
Good Indian food overall. Their selection for the lunch buffet isn't the largest but everything was delicious, plus you definitely get a decent price at $13 during the week (Mon-Fri). Clean and quite dining experience with attentive staff that was quick to clear your plate and refill your water glass. Overall, I was impressed, especially compared to my previous experiences with any kind of relatively inexpensive all-you-can-eat type experience. Would definitely recommend checking it out.
Decor was definitely nice and was impressed when I first walked in. While somewhat pricey the portions are huge! I was able to split an appetizer and one entree with my mother and I brought half of both the app and entree home with me and I'm a pretty decent size guy. Great traditional flavor and I thought the meat I had was very moist compared to some other review that said his was dry. I will definitely be back here again.
Not safe for nut allergies! I was told by the staff it was safe. It wasn't. Good food though.
Absolutely delicious! The staff, and more importantly, the food were both wonderful! Can;t recommend highly enough. Desserts are especially delicious, try the rice pudding!
My new favorite lunch spot. Meets all my needs. Clean as a whistle. Our waiter was very kind. There was not one item I did not enjoy. The rice pudding, to die for. What an awesome ending to a fabulous meal.
I'm from Boston and this is my favorite India food in the Country. It won't let you down. 5 stars!
Must try their lunch buffet... Plenty of variety and sumptuous food...
Great food, service and price.
My girlfriend and I went for dinner. We both chose vegetarian although they have many non vegetarian dishes from all over India on their extensive menu. The flavors were wonderful and the service excellent. A great choice right off exit 19 heading southbound in Southport.
Food very good. Pricey though.
Good authentic Indian fare. I do wish they would make it easier to have a variety of meat and vegetables without having to pay for complete meals. i.e. how about some smaller portion options so it doesn't cost a fortune for variety?
